Utica New York Train Station Years Ago

This is a pictorial depiction of the Utica NY Railroad Station years ago. The present train station building was constructed in the teen years of the 20th century and has been referred to as a second Grand Central Station. In all my train travels, I would agree that Utica New York had a magnificent architectural wonder. And it was all done by private enterprise. This image shown below is from a collection of Penny Postcard scenes of Oneida County. Grand Central Railroad station and the Utica, New York Tran Statin on Main Sreet -- what a marvelous combination. How many recall the marvelous introduction to the CBS radio program, "Grand Central Station"as announced by Ken Roberts and which aired on WIBX (and CBS) Saturday afternoons at 1:00 PM?
